Isshinkai Seminar on September 25 – 28, 2025
We’re thrilled to be hosting the upcoming Isshinkai Toronto Seminar, taking place from September 25–28, and this year promises to be something truly special! Aikido Isshinkai Association is honoured to welcome Kaname Ariga Shihan from Saku, Japan, as the guest instructor. A long-time deshi of Endo Shihan and head instructor at Saku Dojo, this will be his first-ever visit to Canada. We hope you’ll join us for a memorable four days of learning, connection, and shared practice with aikidokas from near and far.
Dirk Müller Shihan Seminar in Toronto: June 6-8, 2025
Naka Ima will be hosting a seminar with Dirk Müller on June 6-8, 2025. Dirk Müller Shihan, 7th dan, started training in Aikido in 1986 and has been running the Shoshin Dojo in Hamburg, Germany since 2004.

Naka Ima is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a Seminar on January 26-28, 2024 led by Greg Angus Sensei and Dirk Müller Sensei from Hamburg, Germany.

Naka Ima Open House and BBQ
Our dojo will be having an open house on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 2 – 5 pm. There will be short demonstration from our Aikido and Karate programs plus other martial arts offered at Naka Ima, followed by snacks and refreshments. There is no cost for this event but signup by September 14 is required to ensure we have enough food for everyone.
New Dojo Location Grand Opening
Join us on September 17, 2022 for our grand opening BBQ at our new location in Toronto’s Briar Hill-Belgravia neighbourhood. At 2 pm, there will be a short demonstration from martial arts programs offered at Naka Ima, followed by some snacks and refreshments.

Our new dojo location is on the northeast corner of Dufferin and Castlefield (a few blocks north of Eglinton) in the Briar Hill-Belgravia neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada
